Enoteca, a Unique Way to Savor Kentucky

There’s no doubt about what makes Enoteca unique. Nestled in downtown Lexington, Enoteca serves tapas to accompany an extensive wine list and a full bar with beer and spirits from around the world.

Tapas are small dishes that were traditionally offered at Spanish taverns. They’re comparable to individual appetizer and have relatively low prices. Customers at Enoteca may order one tapa that pairs well with a glass of wine, or they may order three or four different tapas to make a meal. It’s a cultural exploration, though many of Enoteca’s offerings are built around local ingredients and products.

Just across the street, Seth’s wife Renee runs Wine + Market. It’s a small shop stocked with an expansive wine collection along with artisan meats, cheese and other accompaniments. They’re separate enterprises that are working together to provide a vast array of wines and other offerings from around the world to the people of Lexington.

Wine + Market will be one of six food vendors at the Kentucky Gathering on Nov. 1-2, while Enoteca is participating in Dine Lexington! week from Oct. 25-Nov. 3. Wine + Market is located at 486 W. 2nd Street, and Enoteca is directly across the street at 191 Jefferson Street. You can find more information about Enoteca and Wine + Market on their Facebook pages.
