The first-ever Kentucky Gathering will soon highlight craft brews from Kentucky’s best breweries and delicious Kentucky foods during “Savor Kentucky.” The event runs Friday, Nov. 1 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 2 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kentucky Horse Park in the Alltech Arena. Free trolleys will run hourly from downtown to the event. For $10 admission, you’ll have the chance to taste a variety of local craft beers and local foods. Each craft brewery will feature three different brews, including the barrel aged, pilsners, nut browns, barleywines, pumpkin ales, pale ales and more. Get all the details on
Country Boy’s Shotgun Wedding, an English Northern Brown Ale aged on whole vanilla beans and Against the Grain’s Kentucky Ryed Chiquen, an Amber Ale brewed with rye malt and aged in rye whiskey barrels, are some of the many beer highlights.

Sensory sessions are included in the event, so interested attendees can learn more about beer and spirit types, as well as tasting methods with Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. Master Brewers and Distillers. Craft brew enthusiasts can also talk shop with their favorite local brewers from across the Commonwealth on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., when the brewers will be present.
The other good news? Bourbon will also be in abundance at the event! A bourbon bar with more than 32 bourbons will be on hand for sampling, including the bourbons of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®.
While enjoying libations, attendees can also enjoy food samples from Kentucky artisan food vendors. From the cleverly bourbon-infused to Lyons Farm® beef, plenty of delicious Kentucky Proud foods will be available to try. Food vendors include:

The free shuttle service to the Alltech Arena will run on Friday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. from the Fifth Third Bank Pavilion downtown.
